Chris Haft of MLB.com is reporting the San Francisco Giants have claimed right-handed pitcher Sandy Rosario off waivers from the Chicago Cubs Friday.
It's been an incredible ride for the 27-year-old since the month of October switching teams left and right. Rosario was claimed off waivers by the Boston Red Sox from the Miami Marlins. He was then traded by the Red Sox to the Oakland A's. Next, the Dominican native was claimed off waivers by the Red Sox from Oakland and then claimed off waivers by the Giants from the Cubs.
Rosario made his Major League debut on September 23, 2010 with the Marlins. He finished the 2012 season going 0-0 displaying a 18.00 ERA in four games allowing eight hits, six runs, two strikeouts and opponents batted .471 in three innings. His career numbers total a 0-0 record showcasing a 15.26 ERA in 10 games yielding 22 hits, 13 runs, two homers and four strikeouts with the opposition batting .500 in 7.2 innings.
